Bon Secours Charity Health System and WMC Announce New Healthcare Partnership To Improve Community Healthcare

Posted By: Advancing Care

When it comes to your health, partnership has never been more important. That’s why Bon Secours Charity Health System and Westchester Medical Center (WMC) announced a new healthcare partnership this past May, created to strengthen community care and to bring the best care closer to home.

This new relationship will allow our combined organization to leverage economies of scale and share clinical best practices, providing the most efficient delivery of services. Our goal is to improve services in existing locations so patients and residents can be cared for on any of our campuses in their community, while those who need the advanced-care medical expertise of WMC will be sent to the WMC Valhalla campus—as has been the case in the past.

Along with a new partnership comes a new name. We are pleased to announce the formation of WMCHealth, the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.  This new name establishes a unique network of care, solely focused on advancing the health and well-being of the residents of the Hudson Valley, and ensuring that the highest level of healthcare is available as close to home as possible right here in our region.

In just over a decade, Westchester Medical Center has grown from a single campus and the advanced-care lifeline for the residents of our region, to a $1.62 billion network with partners at every level of the healthcare continuum.  And, as the healthcare and wellness needs for the Hudson Valley continue to grow, WMCHealth will grow with them.
