Good Samaritan’s “Corks and Forks” Enhances Local Healthcare

Posted By: Advancing Care

Nearly 300 community members partied with a purpose at the Paramount Country Club in New City on November 8 at Corks & Forks, a Celebration of Food and Wine, an annual event that supports Good Samaritan Hospital, a Member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.

“As a premier hospital, we are determined to be the best we can in all we do,” says Mary P. Leahy, CEO of Bon Secours Charity Health System. “Proceeds from Corks & Forks will help us enhance these patient programs and services at Good Samaritan Hospital.”

The sold-out, five-course dinner was prepared by Chef Doug Nguyen of Wasabi, in Nyack; Chef Jose David Martinez of UNION Restaurant, in Haverstraw; Chef Kevin Reilly of Roost Restaurant, in Sparkill; Chef Peter X. Kelly of Xaviars Restaurant Group; and Pastry Chef Didier Dumas of Didier Dumas Patisserie, in Nyack. Live and silent auctions had guests bidding on vacations, golf weekends, wine tastings and more.

“For the past five years, this delightful event has supported important initiatives at Good Samaritan Hospital,” says Harold J. Peterson, Chair of the Good Samaritan Foundation. “Friends and chefs have again offered their time, talent and treasures to help make our hospital better every day.”
