Little Hats, Big Hearts at St. Anthony Community Hospital

Posted By: Advancing Care

The Kennedy Birthing Center at St. Anthony Community Hospital, a Member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network, participated in the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Little Hats, Big Hearts program — where volunteers knit red hats for all babies born in the hospital in February, American Heart Month.

“We’re participating in this program to help raise awareness of heart disease, especially congenital heart defects in infants that we can correct with early detection,” says Diane DeFreest, Nurse Manager at the Birthing Center.
