Expansion and Enhancement Projects Progress in Port Jervis and Kingston

Posted By: Advancing Care

As seen in the September 2020 Issue of Advancing Care.

In Port Jervis, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, a member of WMCHealth, progress on Phase 1 of the Medical Village project is well underway and, at press time, the new, expanded Emergency Department, Laboratory and Bariatric Unit were scheduled to open soon.

At nearly four times the size of the temporary Emergency Department, the expanded Emergency Department features 14 rooms, including four dedicated to behavioral health patients. A new Imaging Suite and Fast Track treatment area for the new Emergency Department are also underway.

Progress also continues at HealthAlliance Hospital: Mary’s Avenue Campus, also a member of WMCHealth, and its $92.9 million Expansion and Enhancement project in Kingston. Exterior preparations for the 127,000-square-foot expansion have begun with site-excavation and blasting. Interior enhancements are also underway, preparing for new single-patient rooms.
